DRESS CODE

As a young person developing on a career pathway we think it is important that individuality and maturity is demonstrated through appearance. With this in mind the Studio has a dress code instead of a uniform. We believe it important that our Studio students appear professional and ready for work at all times.

BOYS:

Black or dark grey suit.

Plain shirt of any colour

Black shoes (no trainers)

Studio tie – to be purchased from the Studio

Studio ID badge and lanyard – to be provided on induction.

GIRLS:

Black or dark grey skirt or trouser suit

Plain shirt or blouse of any colour

Studio tie – to be purchased from the Studio

Plain shoes of any colour – maximum 2″ heel

Dark or flesh-coloured tights

Studio ID badge and lanyard – to be provided on induction

PE:

Shorts / jogging bottoms

Plain

T-shirt / sports top of any colour (small logos permitted)

Trainers

Please note that the following are not considered professional dress, and will not be permitted at the Studio:-

Extreme hair styles

Heads should not be shaved – a Number 1 cut is the shortest permitted
Open-toed shoes/sandals
Trainers (except in PE)

Hooded tops in classrooms

Subtle, professional make-up and nail varnish will be permitted.

Post-16 Dress Code

MALE:

Professional dress appropriate for the specialist pathway of study.

Studio ID badge and lanyard – to be provided on induction.

FEMALE:

Professional dress appropriate for the specialist pathway of study.

Studio ID badge and lanyard – to be provided on induction.

We expect a professional standard of appearance from all of our post-16 students. Extremes of makeup, hairstyle (including shaved heads) will therefore not be permitted.
